BEGINNING BAND
The Beginning Band is primarily composed of 6th grade students. We spend the first few weeks of the school year testing various instruments to allow each student to see which one he or she can produce the best sound on.

The instruments that can be selected from include: flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and percussion. There are limits on the number of players for each instrument set forth by the director to maintain a balaced ensemble. However, we strive to place the student on an instrument that tested well and that the student chose to play.

This group performs at the Christmas Concert, the Beeville festival, and the Texas Music Festival in Corpus Christi at the end of the year along with a trip to either Schlitterbaun Corpus Christi or Hurricane Alley.
